Philippe Starck has designed an array of masterpieces from hotels to toothbrushes motorbikes to furniture. His love of streamlined, “horn” shapes is obvious and this is what makes his ingenuity appear inexhaustible. 1968 Established a company called Quasar to produce Inflatable products
1971-1972 Artistic director at Pierre Cardin Studio
1979 Furnished the nightclub Les Bouns-Douches in Paris
Started his own design studio in Monfort I'Amaury
1980 Started own company called 'Starck Products'
1982 Designed the private chambers of the president of France in the Elysee Palace
1984 Designed Café Costes in Paris
1986 Starck taught at Domus Academy in Milan & Ecole Centrale des Arts Decoratifs in Paris
1988 Grand Prix National de la Creation Industrielle
1989 First architectural project was implemented - the administration building for Asahi Brewery in Tokyo
Designed the multifunctional building Nani Nani in Tokyo
1990 Designed Teatriz Restaurant in Paris & Green Baron office building in Tokyo and planned the red baron
1992 Received an Honour Award from the American Institute of Architects for the Paramount Hotel in New York
1993 Designed the prefabricated house 'Starckinette' for the company Les 3 Suisses
The W.W. Stool was designed for Vitra, based on the proposal for an office for film director Wim Wenders.
